These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the WorkerLedger mobile application (“App”) and related services. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Acceptance and Eligibility
By using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and that you have the authority to bind yourself or your organization to these Terms.
If you download the App from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service apply to the download. Subscription payments are processed by Razorpay; Razorpay’s terms apply to payment processing. Our Terms apply in addition to those.
2. Description of the Service
WorkerLedger helps you manage workers, track attendance, record salary advances and expenses, and optionally back up data to the cloud. Features may include:
Paid monthly subscriptions (processed via Razorpay) for premium or extended features
We strive to keep the App available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
3. Account and Security
You may need to sign in (e.g. with Google) to use certain features, including cloud backup and subscriptions. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
You must provide accurate information and notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms. You must not:
Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
Use the App to harass, defame, or harm others, or to store or process illegal content.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App (except as allowed by law).
Circumvent or disable any access control, subscription, or security feature.
Resell or redistribute the App or its content in a manner that competes with our offering, unless we agree in writing.
Use automated systems (e.g. bots, scrapers) to access the App or our backend in an unauthorized way.
We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms.
5. Subscriptions and Payments (Razorpay)
5.1 Subscription model (monthly recurring)
Some features are offered as paid monthly subscriptions through the Razorpay payment gateway. Subscriptions use Razorpay’s subscription model and are charged every month until you cancel.
When you subscribe, you will see a payment modal (checkout) powered by Razorpay. You can pay by card, UPI, net banking, or other methods offered in that modal. By completing payment, you agree to the fees and billing cycle shown.
By starting a subscription, you agree to pay the monthly fee shown at the time of purchase. Fees may vary by plan.
Subscriptions renew automatically every month until you cancel. To stop future charges, cancel your subscription from within the app or by contacting us at [email protected] before the next billing date. Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund for the current period unless required by law or our refund policy.
Free trials: If we offer a free trial, we will state the duration and what happens when the trial ends (e.g. conversion to paid monthly). You may cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
5.2 Refunds and disputes
Refunds for subscription payments are handled as per our refund policy and Razorpay’s terms. For eligible refund requests, contact us at [email protected].
If you believe you were charged in error or have a billing dispute, contact us first. For payment-processing issues, you may also refer to Razorpay Support.
5.3 Price changes
We may change subscription prices with reasonable notice. Price changes will apply to new subscribers and, where legally required, to existing subscribers at the next renewal. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.
6. Your Data and Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of data as described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter (e.g. worker details, attendance). We are not liable for decisions you make based on that data.
You retain ownership of your content. We need limited rights to store, process, and display it to provide the service (e.g. backups, sync) as set out in the Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, text, graphics, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for your personal or internal business use in accordance with these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the App or our branding without our written permission.
8. Disclaimers
The App and services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties of any kind (express or implied), including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. We are not liable for any loss of data (e.g. if you do not use backup or if a device fails); we encourage you to use backup features where offered.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we (and our affiliates, officers, and employees) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business opportunity, arising from or related to your use of the App.
Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim (or, if no payment, fifty US dollars or equivalent).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers or limitations; in such cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless us and our affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. To delete your account and data, contact us as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or services if you breach these Terms or for other legitimate reasons (e.g. safety, legal compliance). Where reasonable, we will give notice before termination.
On termination, your right to use the App ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g. disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, dispute resolution) will remain in effect.
12. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App, email, or other reasonable means. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of the new Terms constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the App.
13. General
Entire agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any in-app purchase terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
Severability: If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not waive that right or provision.
Governing law and venue: These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.

You acknowledge that subscription and payment processing are provided by Razorpay. These Terms are between you and WorkerLedger; Razorpay is our payment service provider and is not a party to these Terms.
Razorpay’s terms, privacy policy, and security practices apply to the payment modal, checkout, and recurring charges. Our obligations to you are as set out in these Terms; Razorpay’s obligations are as set out in their agreements.
If you download the App from Google Play, Google Play’s terms apply to the download only; subscription payments are not processed by Google Play.
